Terms & Conditions

Use of this site & SMS messaging

Last updated May 10, 2026

These terms govern your use of 304 Havoc Softball’s website (304havoc.com) and the SMS messaging program operated by the organization. By using the site or providing your phone number for our SMS program, you agree to these terms.

About the organization

304 Havoc Softball is a 509(a)(2) public charity operating a youth travel-softball program in West Virginia. Our public-facing site provides team information, donation links, and a private portal for board members, coaches, parents, and players to manage rosters, paperwork, and communications.

Use of the site

You may browse the public pages of the site freely. The portal (anything under /portal) is invite-only — accounts are issued by an admin or coach. You agree not to attempt to access another person’s account, scrape the site, or interfere with its operation.

Donations

Donations are processed by Venmo and Zeffy. 304 Havoc Softball is a 509(a)(2) public charity recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We do not provide goods or services in exchange for contributions. Please consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility. Refund requests should be directed to [email protected].

SMS messaging program

Program name: 304 Havoc Softball Notifications

When you provide your mobile phone number to 304 Havoc Softball — either verbally during a coach’s tryout-recruitment conversation or by entering it on the player-registration form — you consent to receive recurring transactional text messages from us. The messages cover:

  • Tryout information (date, time, location, what to bring)
  • Tryout release / waiver forms to complete
  • Player-registration links once a roster spot is offered
  • Team notifications such as schedule changes, weather cancellations, and game updates
  • Account-related messages (parent-portal invitations and password-reset links)

Message frequency

Frequency varies but is typically low — a handful of messages around tryout time and a few messages per month per family during the active spring-through-fall season. You will not receive marketing or promotional content.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging rates from your wireless carrier apply to all messages you receive. 304 Havoc Softball does not charge for the messages themselves.

How to opt out

You can stop receiving messages at any time. Reply STOP to any message and you’ll be unsubscribed immediately. Wireless carriers honor the STOP keyword automatically — you don’t need to contact us. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts from this program. To resume messages later, reply START to the last message we sent.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for support, or contact us at [email protected].

Carrier disclaimer

Wireless carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle the phone numbers and other information you provide. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is.” While we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and the site available, we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 304 Havoc Softball is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our SMS program.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update this page if our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
